German love
Since my grandpa was german, i've always wanted to know more about him and his culture. Unfortunately, he died when my father was little. He came to Chile from Germany in a Nazi ship, and was murdered in Brazil after being search for many years. That's why I would love to go to Germany and meet the people and places besides the historical ones (that I also find very attractive!).
I've always love history, and especially the german one. When I was little, my father used to watch movies about the Second World War, or the Nazi regimen, and I watched them with him and my brother. I've always been aware about how deep and sensitive that this issue is for german people (my brother went there, and my older half-sister lives in there and it's a matter that they don't talk about), so instead of making fun and being indifferent about it, I would investigate and look for books that talk about it because I really think it's important to know about all of this awful events that happened not so long ago and there's still people that think that way, and spread messages of hate and discriminate anothers just because the way they think.
When I was around ten, i read "The boy in the striped pyjamas". It was my favorite book. When I read the end, i cried a lot and read it again and again and keep crying because it was so tough and sad that I couldn't contain the sadness. I couldn't believe how cruel they were.
Besides all of that, I would love to go there because I think that is an amazing country, with a huge culture and beautiful and important places to visit like the Berlin Wall, an icon of the german history, and the impact that it still have in the ones that lives there, and the Jewish Museum Berlin, specially the National Socialism section.
If I go to Germany, I would also love to go to museums like the Städel Museum, that has works by Botticelli, Rembrandt, Monet, and many more! Since my half-sister lives there, I could stay in her place for a couple months to study an maybe have another degree in art, or maybe to study something else like design or photography, why not!
