Why you should watch BoJack Horseman

This is not my favorite series and I watched it a while ago, but i will definitely watch it again. I'm talking about BoJack Horseman, a Netflix original series. Most of the time, when I recommend it, the person I'm talking to says "yeah I've heard of it but I'm not into cartoons", and on the inside I'm screaming like SIS/BRO, YOU KNOW NOTHING!

BoJack isn't just a cartoon for adults, I would say it is actually one of the smartest and more realistic shows on TV. But how can I say it is realistic, if it is a cartoon? Obviously, I'm not being literal about that.  The series, directed by Amy Winfrey, J.C. Gonzalez, Mike Hollingsworth, Aaron Long and Anne Walker Farrell, follows BoJack Horseman, a talking (and super narcissistic) horse, who once starred a sitcom in the '90s, called Horsin' Around, and now is living a kinda miserable life full of excesses and misfortune.

His world is populated by both humans an human-like animals (they have a human life and bodies, except for their heads). You can recognize his cat agent, Princess Carolyne; his biographer and at some point love interest, Diane Nguyen; a super optimistic labrador (and also actor), Mr. Peanutbutter; and a random guy who became part of BoJack's life in a randomest way, Todd.

I think I like this series and would absolutely recommend it because it's deceptively real. It's like, have you ever wanted to watch a show that makes you question how bad you really are? This is a hilarious dark comedy that will also destroy you emotionally. It deals with depression with brutal honestly in a way that I have not seen in any other show, and I think it is a very important and delicated topic, and WE NEED to talk about it, and see ourselves in those characters, being totally assholes and trying to find a way in their lifes.
